Art Presence Art Center’s Board and Director have made the decision to remain closed through the month of June. Watching and reading about the devastation in countries and states that are either noncompliant or simply unable to distance themselves from one another shows how well we in Oregon and Jackson County have done.

What we need now is accurate information about the prevalence and deadliness of the this virus so that governors and mayors can continue to develop rules for social distancing and reopening that are sensible, sustainable and tailored to the situation at hand. There is so much misinformation out there about how the virus is spread and how long it remains on surfaces. How many more lives could be saved if we follow a path of good leadership totally aware of good public health?

This decision was not an easy one. We are anxious to get back to the business of providing fine art and gifts for our patrons, but we will not knowingly add to this stunning count of cases and deaths.

Anne Brooke, Director

We are blessed by the fact that the Guest Artists we had scheduled to exhibit their works in April, May and June have agreed to join us for those same months in 2021.
