Ranger Tony Hess & visitors Peter Grant & Bob Kingsnorth check out the new Panel with maps & Info

Wow! Forest Park is looking amazing – thanks to a hard-working crew of Rangers and volunteers. The New Wooden Panel has great information on the trails and history of this great park. Located 1.7 miles from Downtown Jacksonville on Reservoir Road, the park offers some brand new trails with wildflowers, views, caves, a giant Madrone, the reservoir, and more.

The trails are well marked, and a handy take-along map is also available.

The Jacksonville Forest Park is a Jacksonville City Park, supported by the Bureau of Land Management, the Jacksonville Woodlands Association and private donations. What a wonderful newer asset to the town!

Forest Park Day was Saturday, May 7th – and people came to check out the new trails, take a stroll and learn more about this lovely area.
