On April 22, 2021, Michael R. Charles passed away suddenly of cardiac arrestat the age of 71. Michael was born in San Francisco to Robert and Lee Ann Charles and grew up in South San Francisco and Millbrae. He graduated from Mills High School in 1968 and attended Sonoma State.

Mike loved his family, friends, music, playing golf, their dogs, history, sports and the outdoors. Mike never knew a stranger; he was always surrounded by friends. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Mike married the love of his life, Diana, in 1978. They resettled in Citrus Heights in Sacramento County and then moved to Folsom.

Mike built a strong career in the building supply business as a top salesperson. His job had him traveling all around the country. He made new friends and customers along the way but was always so happy to return to Diana and their dogs.

Mike and Diana retired to Jacksonville, Oregon, where they have found many dear friends. They were planning to celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary on May 20th.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lee Ann. He is survived by his wife Diana, his brothers Bill (Karen), Mark (Susan), Bobby (Marlene), his nephew Kevin (Jing) and nieces, Tara and Jordan.
