For the month of April, The Candy Shoppe in Jacksonville, Oregon will be selling $5 raffle tickets to support the YES for kids program! 100% of that $5 goes to the YES program and the prize is a FREE lawn installation from Scofield Landscape (see the details of the Raffle Award below).
With schools struggling to provide even the basics for their students’ education, the YES Project is providing an opportunity for businesses and concerned community members to support and enhance the educational experience of our local youth, through grants provided by YES. The YES Project operates under the umbrella of the UNITED WAY.
Candy Shoppe Owner Melanie Scofield and her husband also own and run Scofield Landscape,which just Won Best of Show at the Spring Home Show! Their innovative booth, featuring fresh pizzas from their “backyard” pizza ovens and outdoor kitchen won them attention and lots of visitors. They can be reached at 541-899-1764.
Rules and Regulations of YES Raffle
Raffle for FREE lawn install from Scofield Landscape
The organization conducting the raffle is YES- Youth Education Success, in which the United Way of Jackson County acts as the fiscal agent.
Installation will include the following:
~500 sq. ft. of sod installed
~3 yards of soil
~Prep work
**Does not include removal of large trees, boulders or shrubs.
**Lawn preparation includes removal of old lawn and shrubs up to three ft. tall within a 500 sq. ft. area.
** Winner must be located in Jackson County.
Retail market value of this lawn is priced at $1,500.
Length of raffle: March 30-April 30th
Location: Southern Oregon Home Show… Other locations to purchase raffle tickets: The Candy Shoppe, KOBI-TV/NBC5 Station, and Scofield Landscape.
Cost of ticket: $5 each
Total number of raffles that may be sold is 15, 000.
Winner will be announced the 1st week of May, and will be contacted through the information that the contestant provided when filing out the raffle ticket. If for some reason, YES is unable to contact the winner and confirm the prize is accepted within two weeks of the announcement, the first winner automatically forfeits the prize and a second winner will be awarded the prize.
The prize must be claimed within a year of winning the raffle.
All proceeds from the $5 ticket go to YES.
