Alan DeVries is Jacksonville’s newest Firefighter.

Mr. deVries, 35, is an EMT with a degree in fire response services. After serving with a Washington State district and Jackson County Fire District 3 for several years, deVries was hired as a full-time fireman in Jacksonville. The deVries family has moved to Jacksonville and have two other children, Dillon, 12 and Mason 10 who are not pictured here.

Mr. deVries told the Review, “I chose to do something for a living to help my family and my community that also allows me to teach my kids the value of dedication and public service.”
