UPDATE, AUGUST 5, 2020 – THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Join the Jacksonville Rotary Club for a fun and coronavirus-friendly Poker Run on Friday & Saturday, August 28 & 29, from 1:00-7:00pm. Players will purchase a scorecard for $25 and draw a playing card at each of the seven Jacksonville wineries (no purchase required). At the last winery, players will make the best five-card hand they can according to standard poker hand ranking and turn the card in to be scored. Winners will be announced on Sunday, August 30, from 1:00-3:00pm, at a BBQ at Rellik Winery featuring music by Danielle Kelly. You’ll be outdoors at most of the wineries; masks are welcome and hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be available.
The first-place prize, valued at over $700, is an overnight stay in the Presidential Cottage and dinner for two at the Jacksonville Inn plus two bottles of wine and wine tasting for two at each of the seven wineries. Second- and third-place prizes are also exciting, and no one is a loser as all hands will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Many Jacksonville restaurants and shops are offering discounts for showing your scorecard, so recruit some friends to meet-up along the way and spend a relaxing weekend in Jacksonville. Proceeds will support the Jacksonville-Applegate Rotary Club’s many community-service projects.
You can learn more and purchase scorecards and BBQ tickets at www.rotarypokerrun.com.
