August 28 the Southern Oregon Historical Society takes you back to an era when drive-in movies were a popular pastime, but with a modern twist – a live concert performance!

Friday, August 28, Nick Garrett-Powell, lead vocalist, guitarist, and mandolinist for the Fret Drifters, performs live at Hanley Farm. Nick will have your hands clapping and feet tapping with his collection of acoustic music and extraordinary vocals. As you watch him perform on stage, tune your radio to Hanley Farm’s FM radio station for the live feed. And bring popcorn, a picnic, blankets, pillows and cold drinks, sit back, relax, and enjoy the live concert in the comfort, safety, and security, of your car!

Purchase tickets online as they will not be sold at the gate. And space is limited to 60 cars so you’ll want to purchase your ticket soon! For more information and to purchase your ticket, visit http://sohs.org/drive-in-concert. Or if you have questions, call 541-773-6536, ext. 202.

Special thanks to Central Point’s Crater Café (home of frozen custard ice cream!) and The Point Pub & Grill for co-sponsoring this event. Their generous support, and that of other co-sponsors, has helped to make this event possible. Thank you all!
