Local author, EA Luetkemeyer is pleased to announce the publication of his third novel, My Year at the Good Bean Café, in which an unlikely and inexplicable event prompts Adrian Lomachenko to abandon the world of high finance and pursue a career in writing, his long-repressed true calling. He moves to Jacksonville, where he sits daily in the town’s eclectic coffee shop, the Good Bean Café, and (with a little help from his capricious Muse, Miranda) strives to write a story a month for a year—based around the unlikely and inexplicable event in the lives of twelve characters. Does he succeed? And how does the exploration of such events affect his own life?
My Year at the Good Bean Café is a quirky work of metafiction, a story that explores the nature of identity, the process of becoming, the imponderable intelligence of the Universe, and the magic of art in all its manifestations. Dedicated to the patrons and staff of the Good Bean Café, and to the many artists and entrepreneurs of Jacksonville, it is available at Rebel Heart Books, Art Presence, and on Amazon.com.
Luetkemeyer holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. He can be reached at geneluetkemeyer@yahoo.com.
