US Representative, Greg Walden came to town yesterday for the Boy Scouts of America strategic planning kickoff. Mel and Brooke Ashland hosted the luncheon event at their Bigham Knoll Campus.

Representative Walden is the Honorary Chair for the Crater Lake Council Boy Scouts of America strategic plan.  The Crater Lake Council serves over 9,500 youth and adults.   Rep. Walden provided the keynote address for the kickoff. Walden, an Eagle Scout himself, began the discussions of how the organization can continue to help instill positive values and ethics for tomorrow’s leaders.
