Belita’s Space – March 2024

Jacksonville has so much to celebrate and so many wonderful individuals to honor during Women’s History Month.

Historically, small towns are defined by the culture of their Main Street. Jacksonville’s California Street is so much more than the center of our historic landmark town. It is so much more than our visual identity. It is our history and our heart.

At the center of this heart is an inspiring group of women who welcome locals by name and greet visitors as friends.

They are the ambassadors of the warm welcome that is one of Jacksonville’s identifying qualities. The Review is grateful to them for sustaining this legacy.

We thank and celebrate each of these women for writing her story and her unique signature into our history.

The life they breathe into the landmark buildings that hold their businesses infuses our town with charm and creativity, delight and whimsy, tradition and style.

We thank them for their talents and tenacity. Jacksonville is such a special place to live and visit largely due to their contributions and dedication.
