Robert “Bo” Atkinson passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 90 in Medford. Bo was born in Winnsboro, SC. After high school he attended Presbyterian College where he graduated with a degree in education. He joined the Army out of college and did two tours in Vietnam and retired a Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years. After retiring from the military, Bo was an insurance inspector and did real estate before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, and gardening. He enjoyed sharing stories with many friends he met in Jacksonville over a glass of wine. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Iris, son Alan, and daughter Amy. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date to be determined.
