Bill Leep, past Jacksonville resident and Councilman needs bone marrow and blood ASAP. Bill has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
A blood & marrow drive is being held TOMORROW, October 22, 9am to 2pm at the American Red Cross Donor Center, 1174 Progress Drive, Suite 102 in Medford.
In addition to finding a bone marrow match for Leep, friends and family hope the drive will build awareness of the need to increase the National Bone Marrow Registery and to ensure that blood is available for all those waiting for a match.
Bill needs daily blood transfusions, so the need to blood is critical.
Call 1-800-733-2767 for questions about donating blood. Visit www.marrow.org for bone marrow information.
We love Bill…have kept in touch by phone but missed this most recent update. Thank you, Whit and Jo.
