Several times a year, a group of dedicated citizens moves books for the Friends of the Jacksonville Library book sales.
After transferring upwards of 200-300 boxes of books from a warehouse on Main Street into team leader Ken Snokes’ truck, books are driven to the J’Ville library and unloaded onto tables. From there, the Library Friends take over and set up for their sale.
That’s it – in less than 90 minutes a small group of library lovers accomplish a huge task for a great cause!
All proceeds from the book sales are used to fund extended library hours.
We are looking for a few volunteers to join the fun and help move books on December 9. If interested, meet at the Pony Espresso Coffee Shop parking lot at 1:45 – we will carpool to the storage site across from Bi-Mart and the Roadhouse Grill
