Troon Vineyard had the honor of hosting celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay and his Production Team for a wine dinner at the Applegate vineyard on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013. Chef Ramsay was in the Applegate to shoot an episode of his latest series Hotel Hell.
The Chef and twelve members of his team dined under the stars on a menu consisting of local flavors from our valley like Rogue Creamery cheese, Gary West meats, local Filet Mignon, fresh strawberry and hazelnut salad and handmade desserts. All courses included Troon Vineyard wines such as the award winning 2011 Vermentino, the 2010 Cab Franc, and Insomnia Port to name just a few! A special toast was made with Troon’s 2002 Zinfandel which holds deep meaning to Vintner Chris Martin as THE vintage that convinced him that Troon Vineyard would be where Martin would hang his hat. Chef Ramsay graciously signed a bottle marking the 500,000 bottle produced by the vineyard. Additional photos and information available on the Troon Vineyard facebook page.
