Living History 1932 at Beekman House

Step back in time to 1932 at 1:30 and 3 pm on August 16th at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House, located at 470 E. California Street.  Depression era miners are digging up the streets, hoboes are hoping for hand outs, and Ben and Carrie Beekman are closing up their 1873 Jacksonville home, going through family belongings, and sharing memories of growing up in the late 1800s.  The C.C. Beekman House was home to Jacksonville’s wealthiest and most prominent pioneer and still remains completely furnished with family artifacts.  These $10 Living History tours are limited to 15 people each.  Reservations suggested but not required.  info@historicjacksonville.org.
