November’s art exhibition at Art Presence begins with a wonderful new member show, opening Friday, November 5, and continuing on-display through Sunday, November 28. The gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 12-5pm and Sundays from 10am-5pm.

You don’t have to miss the show just because you can’t make it to the gallery. See a virtual tour on our website, https://art-presence.org, which we will post as soon as it’s ready. To inquire about the art that interests you or schedule a private gallery viewing, contact Anne Brooke at 541-941-7057 or anne@brookewatercolor.com.

This month’s guests are Frank De Luca, Ken Gregg and Nancy Bardos, who present us with a unique and special event.

Since retiring from his psychotherapy practice, Frank wrote a book on the Enneagram, a personality system to better understand yourself and other people. Kindness: A Guide for Humans Based on the Enneagram includes illustrations created by Art Presence member, Nancy Bardos, with direction from Ken Gregg. Photography pulled Nancy into the visual art world as a young adult. When the iPhone arrived, she switched to its camera. And she has been drawing and painting ever since the dawn of the Apple pencil. Of this work, Nancy says, “Collaborating on this book was a dream job!” Her paintings, created to illustrate the book, will hang on the back wall November 5-28.

Further, on Friday, November 12, at 5pm, Ginna Gordon will be with Frank DeLuca, Nancy Bardos and Ken Gregg to discuss their collaboration on Frank’s book, Kindness: A Guide for Humans Based on the Enneagram, in the latest installment of Art & Letters. Go to art-presence.eventbrite.com for more information and to register.

In the “Don’t Miss This” category, we have produced an experience of artwork by Jerry Simon with the expertise of videographer Arlis Duncan. Jerry has decided that the rectangular format for paintings leaves so much for the viewer to imagine that he has added canvas to his works to show the top of a mountain, the bend of a river, an exploding star, etc. Venturing further outside the box, he adds depth and dimension which draw you in, snatching you out of a viewing area and into the painting. His style is unique, exciting and awe-inspiring. Now you have an opportunity to see and experience his paintings in the video! Go to https://youtu.be/MlFh4cAuCsQ to be amazed.
