November-December 2019 Exhibition, Holiday Treasures—Our annual holiday shopping show is here! When you head out to buy gifts for the special people in your life, stop by Art Presence first to consider a gift of art. Come by on your way home to find an inspiring gift for the hard-to-shop-for loved ones on your list. Need to pick up a little something for a hostess gift or other impromptu gift-giving occasion? That’s what Holiday Treasures is all about! Take your art purchases home with you to wrap and give in time for the holidays. Artists will replenish the gallery with more holiday treasures through the show’s end, so there will be a great selection throughout the season. Holiday Treasures opens Friday, November 1 and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ending on Sunday, December 29.

November Guest Artist—Our guest artist for November is Jeanne LaRae. Jeanne explores from her hometown, the U.S. and around the world “in search of light and shadow and its magical effects.” The role light plays in telling a story allows Jeanne to relate and deliver it through her paintings of nature, landscapes, architecture, people, and animals. LaRae encourages and inspires people to look further and deeper into their surroundings, finding the beauty and the story, to listen to the whispers of the world around them as more of a symphony of color and light, and to appreciate the gift and experience of the path. She is a member of many Southern Oregon, California, and national art associations, including Ashland Art Center, Ashland Gallery Association, Artists Workshop of Southern Oregon, Rogue Gallery, LPAPA, SoCalPapa, California Art Club, American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, Midway Art Association, the Kimball Art Center and PCPAA.

Join us for a festive reception and meet the artists over hors d’oeuvres and beverages on Saturday, November 2, from 1:00-3:00pm. Jeanne LaRae is very personable and approachable for any questions or comments about her art.

Call for Angels—Our call to artists for the seventh annual Angels Show went out in September and we are delighted with the angels that artists have submitted so far! But there is room for more, so we invite you to enter yours. All artists are welcome—last year’s angels ranged from charming pieces created by children and families to exquisite masterpieces in oil. Submit existing angel art or create new pieces for this popular show in a true gallery setting.
