And it happened again, another 365 days…I have no idea how this happened, because, for me, every day seems to run into the next.

But I want to spend this time to thank you profusely for your support of Art Presence Art Center. We will celebrate our 10th Anniversary this year, an overwhelming achievement in the time of Covid and the closure of so many galleries in the area. It is because of you that we are not only surviving, but thriving.

2022 will be exciting. We will begin the education component of Art Presence Art Center with classes for all ages and interests. We will also provide you with extraordinary fine arts, crafts and authors that will evoke excitement and emotion. We hope to return to receptions where you may meet the artists, have a glass of wine, and learn about their work, inspiration and process. There will be opportunities for you to immerse yourself in the importance of art in your life.

Please keep in mind that all of this depends on our conquering Covid. We hope to resume some “normalcy” this year as we all embrace the solutions of vaccinations and masking.

Again, Thank You and a Very Happy New Year! ~Anne Brooke, Director

Along with February’s new members show, we have another fantastic Guest Exhibit this month. These five woodworkers, Jerry Pendzick, Eric Olson, Brodey Carpenter, Jens Sehm, and John Harden, are creative members of the Siskiyou Woodcrafters Guild. We are delighted and honored to have them show their work in our gallery. The quality of their processes is extraordinary and you will enjoy their unique styles. The show is on display from Friday, February 4 through Sunday, February 27. No reception is planned.

Our next Arts & Letters Zoom chat, “Getting the Words Right,” takes place at 5pm on January 28. Ginna BB Gordon hosts local authors, E.A. Luetkemeyer and Dr. Frank De Luca, to discuss their writing processes. “Each of us has a story within the story—how we do what we’re doing, with whom, and why we do it, “ Ginna says. This will be an interesting discussion with rarely-heard insights into the writing process. Go to art-presence.eventbrite.com to register.
