September 2018 Exhibitions

Jacksonville: People, Places and Things—The member artists of Art Presence Art Center are back after a long hiatus during which local plein air works reveled in the gallery’s spotlight. This month’s display of member artworks focuses on a Jacksonville theme and we look forward to sharing with you their many appealing renditions of our charming town. The show opens Friday, August 31 and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ending on Sunday, September 30. Reception details below.

Dan Mish, “Life Left Undone”—This month we unveil our much-anticipated exhibition of mixed media paintings by our first official special guest artist, Dan Mish. His pieces are quite large, making them excellent candidates for centerpiece of a special room in your home or office. A fine artist for over 30 years, Dan’s art has been featured in major galleries in the United States and his paintings appear in many art collections worldwide, including those of more than a few Hollywood celebrities. A review from one of his selected exhibitions at G3 Fine Art International observes that “Mish’s intimate and personal work hints at glorifying the sorrowful things that life has a continual desire to forget. There is a sweetness and a melancholy pervading the work that passes over us like a shadow before bathing us in warm sunlight.” We believe that you, too, will find a depth of meaning that moves you in Dan’s collection of fine art works and hope that one of them will find a new home with you. Learn more about the artist and see an online gallery of his work at DanMish.com.
