Update: The 2014 Festival has come and gone but you can still visit these farms, weekends from 10am-4pm through August!
Visiting the five lavender farms that comprise the gorgeous Southern Oregon Lavender Trail in the Applegate Valley makes for a wonderful outing! The farms, all located between Jacksonville and Grants Pass, are open weekends in June, July and August, generally from 10:00am-5:00pm.
During the Oregon Lavender Festival weekend of July 11-13, there will be special events at each venue, including essential oil distillation demonstrations, craft workshops, u-pick spots, along with food and music at some farms to help celebrate the peak blooming time. Since you can walk among the lavender fields, be sure to bring your camera as well as your family and friends for a wonderful and relaxing weekend excursion with postcard-like photo ops!
When visiting each farm, through September 15, get a stamp in your lavender “passport,” to be entered into a prize drawing for a wonderful basket of goodies donated by each farm.
For further details, a map, brochure and passport, visit and Like their Facebook page at SouthernOregonLavenderTrail.
We were “early-bird”visitors to The English Lavender Farm in 2013 during preparations for their first public opening this year. So much to see in some 26 acres of land. We came from UK especially for this. The owners Sue and Derek Owen have made this a stunning “must see” lavender farm, situated. in the Applegate Valley. They’ve undertaken a massive amount of hard work to make this a very lovely place to visit. Their barn holds many goodies and surprises, with a myriad of lovingly handmade lavender items sewn by Sue herself, among which you’ll find genuine vintage English pottery for sale. So be sure to come along to visit The English Lavender Farm where you’re sure to receive a genuine English Welcome :)
