The Soroptimist International club will hold their 16th Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, May 19, 2018. This popular, local event is a favorite with gardeners and garden lovers in the Rogue Valley. Each year a variety of beautiful gardens are chosen to highlight the creative ways that outdoor spaces can be utilized. This year, you’ll see six gardens—everything from small pocket gardens to large, public, sculpted gardens with gorgeous flowers, ponds, organic vegetables, and garden art. There will be a wild profusion of color and textures to inspire the most reluctant gardeners.

This tour is the main fundraiser of the year for the local chapter of the world’s largest international women’s service organization, with nearly 100,000 members in more than 100 countries. Soroptimists fund many community service projects that make a difference for women and girls in our region. For over 20 years this club has funded annual college scholarships for Crater High School students and “Live Your Dream Awards” for chosen, local woman-head-of-household college students, healthcare funding assistance for local low-income women and a mentoring program for Central Point Middle School girls.

Tickets for the tour are only $20.00 and may be purchased now by contacting the Garden Tour Chair at gardentoursinv@gmail.com. Tickets are also available to purchase in advance at Blue Door Garden Store and Penny & Lulu Studio Florist—and at Schoolhaus Brewhaus on the day of the tour.
