After a decade of volunteer leadership, Southern Oregon Climate Action Now plans to reach a new level of climate action in early 2024 with the hiring of its First salaried Executive Director. To generate funds sufficient to support this transition, SOCAN is engaged in a formidable fall fundraising campaign. This kicked off in early September with a successful event and continues on November 11th with SOCAN’s Grateful Emericans Benefit Bash.

To help SOCAN reach this new level of climate action, the Benefit Bash will open with Steve Lavering and Mountaintop Sound performing Americana with more than a hint of bluegrass and folk. Then, Steve Schein and Shine On round it out with Grateful Dead covers and more Americana. Senator Jeff Golden will join us to say a few words. There is no charge for admission, but a donation is suggested.

Please plan to join us on November 11th for our fundraiser with bands Shine On and Mountaintop Sound, accompanied by free wine, beverages and appetizers and social time with friends and climate activists.
