Misinformation and disinformation have been the hallmarks of the fossil fuel corporate campaign to undermine climate science and thwart action on climate change. The nuclear industry is not far behind as it constantly tries desperately to sell itself as a viable, if not essential, component of a low greenhouse gas emissions solution to the climate crisis.
On July 17th, at 6:00 pm at the Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland Street, Ashland, Lloyd Marbet and Cathy Cudy from the Oregon Conservancy Foundation will provide a presentation entitled ‘Nuclear Power: Unaffordable at any Price’ during which they will highlight the drawbacks of nuclear power, including the oft-touted Small Modular Nuclear Reactor solution. Following the presentation Lloyd and Cathy will be joined by SOCAN Co-facilitator Alan Journet for a panel discussion.
