Sipping & Playing in Jacksonville – May 2025

WHEN WE FIRST MOVED to Jacksonville, it took 40 days for our moving van to arrive from Florida. Yep—forty. That meant we were living super minimalistic for about a month and a half. With two young kids at the time and not much to do in an empty house, we stumbled upon Rellik Winery, and it quickly became part of our weekly routine. It was the perfect escape to reset, relax, and just breathe. So, what do we love about this amazing spot?

Kid-Friendly—Rellik has donkeys, llamas, and alpacas, which instantly became a huge hit with our little ones. They love visiting the animals and checking out the adorable pond area—just enough nature to keep them engaged and happy.

Great Menu—Their food is so good. Our kids are obsessed with the pizza and mac & cheese, while I’m always torn between the hummus plate, grilled cheese with tomato soup, and the Panzanella salad (highly recommend). They also serve a tasty brunch that’s worth planning around.

Ice Cream Heaven—In the warmer months, Traveler’s Ice Cream is on-site, serving up delicious, scratch-made flavors. They’ve got vegan and gluten-free options too. Even if their stand isn’t open, Rellik stocks their pints inside—so yes, your sweet tooth is always covered.

Year-Round Coziness—Whether it’s sunny or snowy, Rellik always has the right vibe—cozy fire pits for chilly days, a warm and welcoming indoor space for those classic Southern Oregon weather swings, and plenty of outdoor seating to soak in the views when the sun’s out.

Events Galore—There’s always something happening at Rellik! Live music, kid-friendly events (like trick-or-treating), and pop-ups that support local businesses. Be sure to check their website for what’s coming up.

Staycation, Anyone?—Need a night away or have guests coming to town? Rellik has suites on-site (with a pool!) and often runs great packages. Definitely worth keeping on your radar.

Personal Favorite—I’m a sparkling wine lover, and Rellik’s Sparkling Grenache is my go-to. I seriously can’t leave without grabbing a glass. If you love bubbly, this one is a must-try.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re in for a treat. Rellik really does offer something for everyone—kids, adults, wine lovers, foodies, and animal enthusiasts alike.

Take a look and let me know what you think—between the animals and the food, I have a feeling you’ll leave with a full belly and a big smile. Rellik Winery is located at 970 Old Stage Rd, just outside the Jacksonville city limits. Call 541-499-0449 or visit https://rellikwinery.com for more information.
