This marks the 60th-year that the Roxy Ann Gem & Mineral Society hosts one of the most successful rock and gem shows on the West Coast—a rock hound’s dream come true! The Roxy Ann Gem & Mineral Show will be held at the Olsrud Arena at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Central Point on Saturday, March 28, 9:00am-5:00pm and on Sunday, March 29, 10:00am-4:00pm. Admission $5, Seniors $3, Students $2, children under 6, free.
Vendors from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond are participating, displaying and selling their wares, including: rocks, gems, minerals, one of a kind hand-crafted jewelry, beautiful rock paintings, rough rock, rock slabs, and so much more! Marvel at the variety of specimens to choose from, rocks from places as far away as Australia and beyond with local rocks and hard-to-find rocks from all over! Enjoy raffles, door prizes, a silent auction and more. Plus, there will be children’s events, including soap carving and Wheel of Fortune.
If you have a gem or a rock you’d like to identify, this is your free opportunity to consult with our experts!
In addition, local artists will demonstrate how they “do what they do”—cabbing, wire wrapping, faceting, intarsia and mosaics, silver-smithing, beading, rock painting, macramé, as well as creating traditional Native American pieces, Celtic designs and Victorian styles.
There’s also a special event you definitely don’t want to miss—when the Saturday, March 28 show ends at 5:00pm, attend the 2nd-Annual Crater Rock Museum auction of museum-quality rocks, beginning at 5:30pm. These specimens are not what you may find in a local rock shop. Each piece is unique, and most are definitely hard to find!
