Don’t forget to come to Jacksonville’s annual traditional start to Victorian Christmas this weekend: The Victorian Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting!!
The Parade will be at 6pm, with the Tree Lighting to follow. The Parade is along California Street and will continue down to Fifth Street – and will be a fun collection of all-things Jacksonville, with horse-drawn carriages, fire engines with Santa, antique cars and more!!
The tree this year is a fabulous one on the corner of California and Third Streets – already decorated and ready to light! Thanks to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Jacksonville Oregon Business Association (JOBA) for organizing and arranging the tree. Mike Bartlett of Bartlett Tree Service provided the bucket lift so Linda Graham of Scheffels Toys and Kathleen Cardenas of Renaissance Upholstery could decorate the top!! James Ward of the Chamber built the innovative stand, so the large tree could be placed on top of the covered well on that corner next to the Beekman Bank.
Jacksonville Merchants have again placed lights and garland on their stores, so downtown looks beautifully festive!
