A Free Panel Discussion, Wednesday, November 19th, 7-8:30pm.

Food and farming do have a future in our Rogue Valley! The Rogue Valley Food System Network and its partner organizations are working hard to keep that future bright. The Network is inviting community members to attend an evening panel discussion to learn what a “food system” is and what it can do. The Network is helping make locally grown food more available to consumers here in the Valley. It is also helping new farmers find outlets for their products and ensuring there is a reliable supply of the right kind of farmland. “The Future of Food and Farming in the Rogue Valley” panel event will be held Wednesday, November 19th from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Medford Public Library, 205 S Central Ave, Medford, OR.

Representative Peter Buckley will provide opening remarks, followed by a panel presentation and discussion, and closing with a facilitated question-and-answer period. Panelists include: Vincent M. Smith, PhD, Southern Oregon University; Maud Powell, OSU Extension Small Farms; Elise Higley, Thrive; Greg Holmes, 1000 Friends of Oregon.
