Join Historic Jacksonville, Inc. on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, for the final Jacksonville Haunted History walking tours of the season. These tours have been so popular that we’re now offering five tours each night!

These approximately one-hour docent-led tours leave from the Jacksonville Visitors Center at the corner of North Oregon and C streets. Tours begin at 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm, 6:45pm and 7pm. Space is limited to the first 15 people and reservations are required. Tours are filling up quickly so place your reservation early! The cost is $5 per person, with profits going towards HJI’s historic preservation efforts.

The tours are not your typical “ghost tours” with special effects. These are history tours about real hauntings resulting from past events. They include hangings, murders, arson, epidemics, and more, and are not recommended for small children.  Stories have been corroborated by people who have experienced the lingering spirits and apparitions. A new tour route eliminates hills and adds an historic jail, a mortuary, and a sanitarium.

Private tours can also be arranged for groups of 10 or more. For reservations or additional information, visit www.historicjacksonville.org, contact info@historicjacksonville.org or phone 541-245-3650.
