As the weather warms up, so does the list of events, activities and projects for the FOJHC and our volunteers. As of this writing, the concrete slab for our new Cemetery Kiosk pavilion has been poured with construction on the pavilion itself expected to be completed in late April or early May. Please look for more details on this wonderful project in the coming months.

The above photo by John McGlothlin show the disassembly of the Mary T. Agnes Hanna plot in the Catholic Section of the cemetery. The majority of the existing sandstone curbing walls, cap pieces, headstone and its base were all moved to the side to allow us access for reconstruction of the grave site. Materials have been ordered to construct a new inner wall that will replace the loose, dry stack of rock and boulders. While we await the delivery of the materials we will work on straightening and leveling the exterior walls. We plan to have this project completed by fall.

We have a number of events and activities scheduled for May and hope you will plan on attending and enjoying these programs and at the same time supporting the work of the FOJHC.

Please visit our website for complete details on these and all our planned events and activities at: friendsjvillecemetery.org.
