Council Names Alvis Administrator
Congratulations to Jeff Alvis on being awarded a three-year contract as City Administrator. On August 2, Jeff’s contract was unanimously approved without discussion – it’s a rare occurrence when Council skips the discussion phase and simply votes on a matter – this is a testament to the confidence Council has in Jeff and a reflection of his professionalism.
As Mayor Becker has stated at previous meetings, many residents admire Jeff’s dedication and appreciate his passion for the job.
In case you don’t know, Jeff filled the Administrator job 6 months ago on an interim basis after City Administrator Paul Wyntergreen took the City Manager job in Tillamook, Oregon. Jeff will also continue in his role as the Director of the Public Works Department. Congratulations, Jeff!
