This year’s Victorian Christmas Celebration continues with the always-popular Parade at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 6.  This year’s morning time frame allows for increased participation and better visibility of the parade entrants, as well as improved overall safety.  “People won’t have to rush to get the family together after work and then rush to get in place for the parade.  Having the parade in the morning also allows attendees to make a day of it and stay in town to enjoy the holiday festivities,” says Tim Balfour, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce President.
Horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers on street corners, complimentary cider and meeting Father Christmas will be available over three weekends: Dec. 6 & 7, 13 & 14, 20 & 21.  Tours of the Beekman House will be offered from 11:00 – 3:00 those weekends and also the following weekend, December 27 & 28.  Father Christmas will be located this year in the historic county courthouse at 5th and D Streets.
“Jacksonville’s Victorian Christmas is a cherished tradition for many people in the greater Rogue Valley community and we continue to build on the incredible foundation laid by the previous coordinators of this event,” says Balfour.
