The Jacksonville PTO, founded by invested parents, supports Jacksonville Elementary. One of our primary objectives is to provide our school with funds, programs, and resources, to enrich and maximize the education of every child. We sponsor and/or support: Back to School Ice Cream Social, the Community Harvest Carnival, Writers’ Festival, Pioneer Bingo Night, in addition, educational programs such as the school art program, visits from OMSI, and Science Works. All funds are used to enhance the educational learning of Jacksonville’s 400+ students and tie in our local community.
In order to provide the highest safety and enrichment for our students, we are seeking to fund a playground for our youngest students, grades kindergarten through third. This playground, geared toward younger students, will provide developmentally-appropriate equipment for play and exercise.
We are seeking community help in the amount of $77,105 to build this primary grade playground. To support this effort, we are hosting a communitywide Pioneer Bingo night on January 25, 2019, that will include a silent auction. We encourage the community to join us! Community members can help by donating funds to support the construction, as well as provide auction items or services to support Pioneer Bingo. In addition, our community is invited to join us for a fun, family night of bingo. All donations are tax deductible. Please come alongside the PTO and help us create a safe and secure enhancement to our wonderful Jacksonville Elementary!
