Jacksonville Review – May 2025

IN OUR LIVELY COMMUNITY, we are fortunate to have citizens who care deeply about creating beauty as well as supporting a vibrant and healthy environment. These attributes will be on full display at the Spring Sale sponsored by the Jacksonville Garden Club, held in downtown Jacksonville on Saturday, May 10, from 10am-2pm, in the alcove next to the Post Office.

As always, club members will use fresh spring flowers to make beautiful arrangements in a variety of sizes and prices—for a sweet Mother’s Day surprise—or a gift to yourself or a friend. Spring starts of flowering plants, perennials and succulents will be offered. Baked goods and treats, as well as lovely handmade cards, bird houses, and crafts, all made by Club members, will also be available. There is something for everyone at the Spring Sale!

Funds raised go to support local students’ scholarships at the Oregon Stewardship and educational activities at Jacksonville Elementary School. In addition, the Club’s funds and its members’ volunteer energies support local beautification projects at Scheffel-Thurston Park, the Jacksonville Community Center, the Post Office and Visitors’ center, our Historic Cemetery, the Police Station and Doc Griffin Park. Visit the Spring Sale on May 10 and bring home some spring cheer while contributing to a good cause!
