UPDATED MARCH 30, 2020 – JACKSONVILLE GARDEN CLUB SPRING PLANT SALE CANCELED.

Thanks to all of the support we have received from you during the 80 years of Jacksonville Garden Club’s Spring and Holiday fund raising, we have been able to provide many scholarships for local students’ college experiences in a variety of environmental fields.

This year we are all experiencing the health care crisis in a multitude of ways.  The Jacksonville Garden Club is cancelling the May 9th Spring Sale to prevent gatherings of our months of preparation to plant and grow the flowers and vegetables for the event. And obviously, we would have then needed the crowd to come to the sale.  The uncertainties have prompted our club to cancel this year’s event.

We extend our best wishes for your good health. Enjoy (from home or 6’+ distance) our town’s natural beauty. Spring is in full blossom of colorful trees and flowers. Be well, Your Garden Warrior

Jacksonville Garden Club’s annual Spring Sale will be held in downtown Jacksonville on Saturday, May 9, 2020,  from 9:00am-3:00pm in the alcove next to the Post Office on North Oregon Street. The sale features fresh-cut spring flowers arranged in bouquets of all sizes by Club members, as well as potted perennials, succulents, plant starts, and lovely hanging baskets. Homemade cookies, brownies, pastries, candies, and other yummy treats created by Club members will also be available for purchase. Visit the Spring Sale on May 9th and bring home some happiness while contributing to a good cause!

Money raised from Garden Club activities provides scholarships to local young people studying in related fields at the Oregon Stewardship and Rogue Community College, and also supports local beautification projects at Peter Britt Gardens, Doc Griffin Park, Scheffel-Thurston Park, Jacksonville Community Center, and the Jacksonville Post Office.
