Jacksonville Review – Dec 2024/Jan 2025
JACKSONVILLE GARDEN CLUB’S HOLIDAY GREENS SALE is an excellent way to bring seasonal cheer to homes and businesses in our community. This year the Holiday Greens Sale will be held Friday, December 6, 10am-2pm, in the alcove near the Jacksonville Post Office.
Club members use their creativity and artistic skills to make beautiful table arrangements, wreaths, and swags using fresh cedar and pine boughs, holly, cones and other natural materials. Some of the arrangements feature tiny lights to give them a warm glow. All of them bring fragrance and color to decorate your home or business, or to give as lovely gifts. Our popular and unique wreaths will be offered in either 28” or 18” sizes. Fresh-baked holiday treats, artistic greeting cards, ornaments, and other surprises will also be available for purchase.
Proceeds from Jacksonville Garden Club events fund local scholarships, including students who work on the Oregon Stewardship’s Bear Creek restoration projects. In addition, Club funds and volunteer energies are dedicated to many local gardens, including the Peter Britt grounds, the Post Office, Scheffel-Thurston Park, the Jacksonville Community Center, the Jacksonville Police station, and other local beautification projects. Stop-by to brighten your holidays with lovely natural greens and support a good cause!
