Spotlight On Two Great Local Farmers
Since purchasing their 19-acre “Easy Valley Farm” in Rogue River two years ago, Coz Miklosovic and Tina Arapolu have gained a great reputation for bringing high-quality organic produce to the market. Working side-by-side farming for 70+ hours/week, Coz & Tina specialize in growing heirloom vegetables, potatoes, beets, carrots and tomatoes.
Heather Bartko of Walker Creek Farm was among the first vendors at the Jacksonville Farmers Market. Working closely with Patty Walker of Walker Creek Farm of Jacksonville, Heather offers-up fine baked goods, berries and veggies. Each week, you’ll find slices of Baklava ($2), Spanakopeta ($4), whole pies ($16), and loads of produce. During the week, the Walker Creek farm stand is open from 10-3 at 670 Old Stage Road, about 2/3 mile north of the post office.
The Jacksonville Farmer’s Market is held on Sundays, 10-3 on the Old Courthouse lawn. Read more articles about the Jacksonville Farmer’s Market by clicking here and here!
