A Jacksonville Golden Retriever dog died this morning and is suspected of being a victim of intentional poisoning. Jacksonville authorities, including the Police and City Administrator, are now urging dog owners to keep an eye on their pets and to use caution when letting them out alone. The dog lived in the Nunan Square neighborhood, approximately one-half mile from where two collies were poisoned, but survived, last week. Anyone with information on this heinous activity is urged to phone the Jville PD at 541-899-7100.
