Dr. Ryan Colley, who recently joined Dr. Yaser Metwally at Advanced Join Replacement Center of Southern Oregon, is also a new resident of Jacksonville. He was born in Medford and raised in the Rogue Valley and after getting his bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University, he moved to Arizona to attend medical school at Midwestern Arizona College. As a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Ryan trained for five years in Columbus, Ohio, where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Ohio University. “I was so fortunate to have spent time with the world-renowned surgeon, Jonathan Levy, in Fort Lauderdale doing my fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery.” It was at this point that Ryan focused on all aspects of upper extremity joint replacement, reconstruction, trauma, and arthroscopy. During this time, he also studied sports medicine of the knee and obtained certification in Mako robotic-assisted total knee replacement. In addition, Dr. Colley has authored a number of articles and book chapters.

Dr. Metwally notes that, “Dr. Colley is an extremely talented surgeon and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with him.”

In his free time, Ryan enjoys time with his wife and two children. They love to hike, fish, snowboard and travel.

Dr. Colley says, “I am thrilled to be returning to the Rogue Valley and calling Jacksonville home. I am looking forward to serving this community and raising my family in such a wonderful area.”
