Join the Friends of Jacksonville’s Historic Cemetery when the Program will feature the History of the cemetery’s Catholic Section. Learn some of the early history of the Catholic Church in Jacksonville and the role it played, followed by a tour of some of the Sections early grave sites.
Meet your Docents at 10am at the Sexton’s Tool House at the top of the Cemetery Road. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The program is about ah hour and a half.
Parking is available in the cemetery. Donations are always appreciated and support restoration and preservation work, as well as, educational programs.
