Hope you were able to check out the Fire Extinguisher Training on Saturday, July 9! Volunteer Fire Fighter, Chris Arnold was handling the demonstrations and lessons about the proper way to care for and handle your fire extinguisher. The Jacksonville CERT Team Members were also on-hand to learn and assist with the training.
Arnold suited up members of the community and participants were able to actually put out a fire. He also mentioned that in the kitchen baking soda is great to have on hand under the sink or above the refrigerator to toss on a kitchen fire. Baking Soda is cheaper than a fire extinguisher and fast and easy, if stored in a tin with easy access.
