In mid-July, a volunteer crew spent the day plowing a 30-acre field that was overgrown with tall grass and weeds—the parcel abuts Royal Mobile Estates to the north. Not only was the patch of ground an eyesore, it was a fire hazard that’s now been mitigated with a fire line. With a generous donation of a large tractor and tiller from Harry Mauch, owner of Power Pack Equipment Rentals at 2079 W. Main Street, volunteer drivers Rob Bakker and Rod Abbott (both J’ville residents) got the job done! Power Pack has operated in Klamath Falls for 35 years and has just opened their new location in West Medford.
