The Jacksonville Garden Club’s Holiday Greens Sale kicks off the holiday season with beautiful arrangements that bring fragrance, color and light during the chilly days of December. Garden Club members apply their artistic skills and energy to fresh pine, cedar and holly boughs from local woods and gardens. These are combined with colorful bows, candles and cones in a variety of table arrangements, baskets, wreaths, and swags to decorate your home or business, or to give as wonderful gifts. The arrangements are reasonably priced and will last throughout the holiday season if kept watered. Holiday gift cards and sweet treats made by Club members are also available for purchase.
This year the Greens Sale will be held on Friday, November 30th, from 10:00am to 3:00pm and on Saturday, December 1, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, in the alcove near the Jacksonville Post Office. On Saturday, the sale will be open during Jacksonville’s Christmas parade.
Proceeds from Jacksonville Garden Club events fund local scholarships, including long-standing support of Oregon Stewardship’s mission of working with students in nine southern and coastal Oregon high schools. In addition, Club funds and volunteer energies are dedicated to the Peter Britt Garden, the Post Office Garden, Scheffel-Thurston Park, the Jacksonville Community Center, and other local beautification projects.
Enjoy the Victorian holiday spirit in downtown Jacksonville, support a good cause and brighten your holidays with lovely natural greens!
