In appreciation for the generosity of the Hunter Family and the Ruch community.

Program: Sierra Safari Expedition

In 2011, Nick Greece, Eric Reed and a few friends hatched an idea to fly the Sierras from one end to the other. In 2012, on their second attempt, Eric landed in Lakeview Oregon, having flown almost 500 miles. For 18 days through remote mountains, pilots flew, landed, slept and launched the next day. This is “Vol-Biv flying”, involving total self-sufficiency. Pilots launch with their overnight gear and fly as far as thermals will take them. After landing on another mountain-top, pilots then pull out their gear for an evening under the stars.

Relive the experience with Eric in his hour long presentation of the successful 2012 journey, including breathtaking slides and a short video.
