Are you looking for a fun excuse to get outside with the family this summer? How about a beautiful location that explores the rich history of the Rogue Valley and provides green, shade-covered lawn areas for picnicking? If this sounds appealing, the Southern Oregon Historical Society invites you to visit Hanley Farm every Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm with no admission fee!
Thursday evenings at Hanley Farm offer a friendly venue space for the public to enjoy self-guided tours of the historic property. Enjoy the landscape planted by the Hanley family, as well as ripe apples and plums to snack on.
The Agricultural Manager also offers garden tours of the demonstration garden. The agricultural program at Hanley Farm practices a unique form of agriculture in which food is grown without tilling or irrigation. Yes, no irrigation! Visit us on Thursdays and take an educational tour of the demonstration garden and learn how you can grow some of your own food.
