DANCIN Vineyards (www.dancinvineyards.com), announces the appointment of Juliana Marca as their General Manager. She assumes her duties on March 1.

“Juliana’s approach to wine, culinary and hospitality is consistent with our philosophy of providing the best possible experience for our guests,” said DANCIN co-owner Dan Marca. “Her attention to detail, knowledge and passion for wine and food, coupled with many years of hands-on experience will add greatly to the DANCIN experience .”

Juliana first experienced the magic of the Pacific Northwest on her first visit to Oregon and Washington at 15. Although Juliana first found her passion for the food and beverage industry in sunny Arizona, that visit to the Pacific Northwest was always on her mind. In 2010, she had the opportunity to relocate to Seattle and accepted a position at Copperleaf Restaurant in the Cedarbrook Lodge, being appointed the Restaurant Operations Manager. She headed up the hotel’s extensive wine program as well as led the hospitality team to many accolades over the years.

In the summer 2014, she travelled to Europe to learn about and experience the wine culture there. Her travels took her to Spain, Portugal, France, Austria and Germany meeting with different winemakers and learning about their protocols and philosophies. After returning to the states, Juliana connected with DANCIN Vineyards and winemaker Brian Denner for their 2014 harvest and production just before joining her fiancé at the opening of his restaurant in Austin, Texas. While in Austin, Juliana took the position of AGM at Gardner Restaurant, during the time it was named one of Bon Appetit magazine’s top 50 best new restaurants of 2015, where she was given the opportunity to oversee the wine program, just before taking a short leave to welcome a baby boy to their family. With the new family addition, and knowing the Pacific Northwest was always close to her heart, the time was right to join the team at DANCIN Vineyards. She will be enrolled in Washington State University’s Enology program in May 2016.

 DANCIN Vineyards, located at 4477 South Stage Road in Medford near historic Jacksonville, is open Thursday through Sunday, from 12 until 7 from October through April and Thursday through Sunday, from 12 until 8 from May through September.
