Annette McGregor recently sold her beloved “Forty Five Coffee” shop which is now called “Cerberus Coffee.” New owners Cody Gordon and Kristina Marie bring their shared passion for good eats, good sips, and good company to new friends and neighbors. Kristina (who prefers to go by Tina) and Cody have lived in the Applegate Valley for two years, where they’ve grown to appreciate the unique offerings of local produce, wine, and the picturesque outdoors!
Located at 310 E. California Street, Tina and Cody seek to create an inclusive, collaborative space, a place to highlight local ingredients and projects. Cerberus’ menu includes eggs and produce harvested in Ruch, chocolate from Central Point’s Lillie Belle Farms, and Argentinian empanadas by Caba in Medford. In the coming months, Cerberus will host a pop-up flower market, community record swap, and free public coffee and tea tastings.
While Cody is a veteran of specialty coffee, having worked for roasters and supported café owners in their own ventures for over a decade, Tina’s prior professional focus has been law and community advocacy. “Making comfort food for loved ones has always been a great source of pride and balance for me,” Tina says. “Now we get to share tried-and-true comforts and help others try new things daily. Nothing makes us happier.”
Tina and Cody invite you to enjoy the early spring blooms with a fresh savory scone, gluten-free mochi muffin, golden oat milk latte, or a simple, yet exceptional, cup of hot fresh coffee. Dubbed “Cerberus” after the three-headed dog from Greek mythology, the cafe offers a doggie hitch, water bowls, and treats for pup guests.
Open daily, from 7:00am to 3:00pm. For more information, visit cerberuscoffeeco.com or email info@cerberuscoffeeco.com.
