City of Jacksonville Town Hall is Thursday, November 29, 2018, 4:00-6:00pm at Old City Hall

Community Involvement is an important value for the City of Jacksonville. Recently, the City established a Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC), a five-member group of Jacksonville citizens, to review and to draft possible changes to Chapter One of the Comprehensive Plan, Citizen Involvement. The intent is to ensure a long-term and viable citizen involvement program that supports the overarching goal of the Citizen Involvement Chapter: “To provide opportunity for the citizens of Jacksonville to be involved in the ongoing city planning process.”

This first step is the foundation in a larger process of reviewing the greater Comprehensive Plan.

One of the tasks for the CAC is to provide opportunities for collaborative conversations with the Jacksonville Community, and to provide an overview of their scope of work.

Please join the CAC and members of the Committee for Citizen Involvement for an introductory town-hall event for an overview of their task, opportunities for questions, and for you to provide comments.

The intent of the review is to ensure that Jacksonville has a robust, long-term, and sustainable Citizen Involvement Program. This will be the first in a series of town-hall events.

Refreshments will be served!
