State of the Art Presence – May 2024

ART PRESENCE IS DELIGHTED to present a special collection that captures the historic soul of Jacksonville. Our latest exhibition is a selective showcase, featuring pieces chosen from a wide array of local artists, each bringing their unique perspective.

During the open call held in March, any artist within the southern Oregon region was allowed to submit up to 3 pieces of original art with a theme of “Jacksonville” for this one-month show. Submissions will be juried during the week before the show starts.

We invite you to join us for an enriching experience that celebrates the diversity and creativity of our community. The opening reception will be held Saturday, May 4, from 1-4pm.

Member Artist of the Month: Chris Anderson—Have you seen what can be made with what starts out as a piece of unwanted wood? May Member Artist of the Month, Chris Anderson is showing off his talent crafting a variety of wooden creations. Sustainably sourced. Locally crafted. Beautifully unique! It’s best to see Chris’s work in person, but you can also check some of his work out at https://www.instagram.com/350ms/.
