JACKSONVILLE, OR — Britt Music & Arts Festival has announced the remaining concert schedule for 2019 at its annual Music & Comedy Season Announcement Party on Thursday, April 11, unveiling 16 more concerts for the summer festival, with wide variety and big names. Highlights of the announcement include 90’s pop icon Alanis Morissette (June 23), singer-songwriter Jackson Browne (Aug. 7), rising country star Brett Young (Aug. 25), classic California surf band The Beach Boys (Sept. 4), alt-rockers Third Eye Blind (June 16), and popular 90’s band Cake (Aug. 22). In addition, a wide variety of musical styles are represented in this batch of shows. For folk lovers, The Wood Brothers and Colter Wall (Aug. 24), and rising Americana stars, Mandolin Orange (July 6) will perform. If you love 80’s pop, the Lost 80’s Live Tour (Aug. 29) will fill an evening of synth pop with bands A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, The Motels and more. Country fans have many choices, including Dwight Yoakam (July 7) and Chase Rice (June 14). The variety continues from down under with Australia’s Little River Band (June 19) and the Australian Pink Floyd Show (Sept. 15). Diana Krall (Sept. 13) returns with her jazzy, sultry vocals, plus an offshoot from the Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule (Aug. 30) takes the Britt stage. Blues fans can catch returning legend the Taj Mahal Quartet plus Marc Cohn featuring the Blind Boys of Alabama (Aug. 17). From reggae to country music to classic rock, folk, blues, pop and jazz – there is something for everyone in the 2019 Britt Music & Comedy Season.
