Britt Music & Arts Festival has opened a Call to Artists for the 2020 Fine Arts Poster. Britt is also considering artists for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. The Call to Artists will be open until July 31st, 2019, and will be juried by a group consisting of local artists and Britt staff.
Britt’s Fine Arts Poster is a cherished tradition that celebrates Britt’s concert series and music through the visual arts. Britt is seeking an original piece of artwork by a local artist to commemorate the 2020 season through the annual Fine Arts Poster. Original works may be created using any visual medium that can be scanned or photographed for use in the annual Fine Arts Poster design, the Souvenir Playbill cover and other marketing materials promoting the 2020 season.
Britt prefers representational artwork over abstract, and selects pieces that are easy to incorporate into various marketing elements throughout the season. Once scanned or photographed, the original piece of artwork is donated to Britt and is placed for auction during the Best of Britt fundraising event each year. The selected artist is recognized at the Fine Arts Poster unveiling ceremony which will happen at the Season Announcement Party in April, 2020, as well as being recognized in the playbill and on the Britt website.
